Project Overview
This project involved the synchronization of two 2MVA Caterpillar generator sets using the Deepsea 8610 Engine Control Module. The project was undertaken to address several critical issues affecting the generator sets' performance and reliability.
Challenges Encountered
During the initial assessment, we identified several significant issues:
- Brownish deposits in the fuel tank
- Contaminated engine oil with black residue particles
- Excessive oil leaks from the crankshaft rear oil seal
- Presence of "Diesel Fuel Bugs" in the Racor Element
